Dubai stopover?

Hi guys

We've just had our medicals, and we'll hopefully be off to Melbourne this September. Any thoughts about staying a week in Dubai en route? Any experiences / suggestions would be very welcome!

Thanks

I have been to Dubai twice and am stopping over for 4 days on my way to Aus next month. I liked the open top bus tour which gives a good overview of things to do. Last year we spent a day at the beach, another one shopping and another looking round the museum and souks. I'm looking forward to going again.

Thanks guys! The main reason for choosing Dubai is the flight times. We'll be travelling with our 4 year old, and limiting time in the air is essential. I imagine Singapore (even though it sounds interesting!) is a longer flight...

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy
What month are you coming as it's still very hot, high 30's most days and humid. Summer starts to die off around Oct when it's warm but pleasant!
I have a villa which I rent out if you're looking for that kind of accomodation, or happy to help out with other suggestions depending on your requirements.
There's alot going on here at the moment, construction wise. Other wise it's an interesting city, where you can do as little or as much as you like!
