      Shipping a suitcase to the UK.

      Hey folks,
      Has anybody shipped a suitcase of stuff back to the UK from OZ? My girlfriend and me are returning to the UK in Jan after being here a year but have acquired rather a lot of stuff that we want to take back. We are flying Singapore Airlines so only have 20kg each plus hand luggage.

      We thought about filling a suitcase up and sending with the likes of DHL etc before we leave.

      I've had a quick look around but can't find anywhere saying a suitcase specifically and was wondering if people have sent stuff in one then just put a padlock on it and had DHL pick it up, just giving them the dimensions and sending it as a package?? And how much roughly did it cost for say a 20kg case?

      Any help gladly received, cheers.

      Hi;

      I don't know about DHL but your airline may give you a non accompanied baggage option for excess baggage which is cheaper than paying for excess baggage. I know Qantas offer this so perhaps worth asking Singapore Airlines?

      Hi

      We sent alot of stuff back in cases by surface mail when we returned last time. Local post office takes them but. Only about $60 but takes 2 to 3 months.

      Thanks
