jdad84
Hi Gang.... Wondering if anyone has had experience of moving interstate whilst in Oz, we've been in Sydney 10 months now and we are due to move to far north queensland at the end of November. I've had a look and logged a job on truckit.net but wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. We're moving contents of a 2 bedroom house, its roughly 2300km and quotes so far are around $3200 Any suggestions welcomed.
Guest The Pom Queen
We moved to Cairns from Melbourne. At the top of my head I am sure it cost us around $5000. I know to bring the car up it cost $900 and was here waiting for when we arrived. We used Crown but a number of items were damaged and at this end they started unloading someone else's shipping container. You could look at U pack that was a lot cheaper it was just we couldn't get insurance for anything we packed or loaded ourselves so we didn't bother. Another way which I would look in to if ever we moved again is back loading.
