Outdoor Furniture - What to take, What not

Any advice on bringing outdoor furniture? We have wooden outdoor table and chairs and a chimney heater we would like to bring. How strict are AQIS?

      Thanks

We brought all our outdoor (wooden) furniture last year with no problems at all. However, I had pressure washed it all and given it 2 coats of outdoor furniture oil about a month before the packers arrived so it was very clean and the oil had had time to dry.

We brought our outdoor table and chairs - but again they were pressure washed and jeyesed to death. I was going to re-oil them, but ran out of time....

Hi Lindsey, I take it the recci must have gone well

You are allowed to take new items in your container, but you are supposed to declare new items and pay australian import duty......or you could do what we did and not tell them we just made sure all new items were unwrapped from original packaging.

Whats expensive...house furniture wise....!! I wish i could bring food....when i went on the holiday food just seemed so boring and expensive...lol

Melbourne was brilliant and loved a place called Geelong...had a great feel for the place so think we will be heading there !! Hopefully when the bloody house sells.
