Question about the customs form for shipping goods...

I've printed out the AQIS customs form that Crown emailed us and there is a question about wooden items on there. The question is "Furniture or other articles of wood, cane or bamboo - yes or no"

Are they looking for ALL wooden items, such as treated tables and suchlike or are they looking for UNtreated wood items which are prohibited? We aren't taking any untreated items with us so I am unsure whether or not they want me to list all my tables and chairs and chest of drawers.

      Any advice greatly received.

I was told to tick yes and the moving guys would itemise all the wooden furniture. Our sea freight hasn't arrived yet so can't comment on the arrival part of it! I did notice the guys wrote 'wood' on the packaging if there was wood in there, presumably to allow the customs guys to be able to check it quickly.

Not sure if that helps you any!!

Our shippers weren't the clearest, just said anything that was wood, or part wood had to be included, but not paintings on wooden boards, or wooden frames on pictures. I did ask if the paper lampshade counted, but they ignored that question.

I listed everything made from wood - figured the customs/aqis guys would know from the list what they wanted to look at
      along the lines of:
finished furniture including: tables, dressers, shelving, cabinets, chairs, (i.e. I didn't describe individual items just gave things as plural!)
      guitars and guitar components

And we got through the inspection no problems :)

Does anyone have a spare instruction manual for a baby girl?

I also declared wooden furniture, childs table and childs wooden puzzles and toys. They should be fine as they are normally treated wood but I'll leave it up to customs to decide for themselves.
