They probably need a day or two to get over jetlag...then organise their internet connection.
I know canadiantooz was due to arrive on Thursday. It was a corker of a late autumn day - beautifully sunny and quite mild. So hopefully the first impressions were good!

      Hello Everyone,

A quick update about us. We arrived here in Hobart on last thursday and after couple of days rest, did manage to get broadband internet and cell phone working.

Cass: Although this is our first week in Hobart, we are loving it so far. It is beautiful everywhere as others have mentioned. It is very easy to get around in Hobart and people are friendly and helpful. Our flight was good except that we had to take our luggage at Melbourne airport and then chek in again for Hobart. Bank account and medicare cards are done as well. The weather was really nice for first couple of days but last day or so have been rainy. Coming out of Canadian winter, this weather did not bother us at all.

Now the reall challenge is to find the job and hopefully there would be a good news soon. Please let me know if you need any information. Have a safe flight.

      Cheers

      Hello there

We've got our fingers crossed for a visa grant this week and if we're successful, we hope to be heading to Tasmania sometime next year.

Good look with it all and please keep us posted of how it all works out. That goes for anyone else heading for Tas in the near future of course. We'll be watching your stories with great interest
