Adelaide or sydney for elecrtician?

Hi guys. Were coming to oz (from london) and my hb is electrician. We've been told by the immigratrion company that they will find him a job & we can choose between syndey & adelaide. We have 3 children ages 8,5 and 11 months so can anyone give us an idea which we should choose? We're not really into the busy hectic life and prefer much quieter surrounding. Which is safest, has better schools? I keep reading how common it is to hear gun shots in Oz, im shocked, is this true? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi Shaza, Dont live in Australia only visited, but I would say that Adelaide is quiter than Sydney. Adelaide is lovely (not saying Sydney isnt) but I think Adelaide is great for people with little children, Adelaide is small and its easy to find your way around and still lots of work prospects too.
Sydney is a big place its lovely but I would say property prices would be expensive for a family with young children.
Hard decision as 2 completely different places

Hi Shaza.

I must admit that I am biased towards Adelaide as I live here.

If as you say you prefer quieter surrounding Adelaide may well be for you.It is a LOT smaller than Sydney and mainly does not have a rat race feel about it.

I personally feel that Adelaide is a gentler place and more family orientated.Life can be slower but people have time for you.Think of the difference between London and a lot smaller UK city.
As for gunshots heard?????

Never heard any where we are

I don't think that hearing them is common anywhere!

well adelaide is supposed to be in the top places to live.. So Adelaide...well thats where we are going any way lol!!

Hi there.
We also are looking to migrate to (poss) Adelaide and my OH is also an Electrician. Do you mind me asking what immigration company you're going with as interested that they will find job for him. Thanks everso.
