Really looking forward to moving to Oz but am a little nervous as to how to entertain my 2 year old daughter and 6 month old son on my own whilst my hubby at work as we'll not know anyone when we arrive.
Anyone got an tips or ideas I can look into?

There are lots of playgroups in south adelaide you can attend with your child. Its only a couple of dollars entry and you'll get to meet loads of other mums and build up friendships. I attend one in Woodcroft with my son. PM me if you one more info on it.
Cheers
Hi. Im the same, well I have two older kids 5yrs & 8 yrs who will be at school so am really nervous I will get lonely on my own with my little one (now 11mths) so im going to be on the look out for toddler groups etc too. We may bump into each other ha ha. Im hoping to find a group for english people to meet up too. I think a familiar accent might help me settle, im hoping anyway.
I know, no matter how up for the big move I am, I must admit I am terrified. Things moved at lightening speed after my 1st post and we're now bound for Perth on 2 March - we arrive on the 3rd and Michael starts his new job on the 10th - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I know he will be ok as he'll have the normality of work. But its bloody daunting with 2 wee ones to adjust and settle. I'd love meet up with you - but I'm guessing that geography might get in our way now. Keep in touch though - I'd love to hear how you are getting on and what you find to do.
Hi
I moved out here 1 month ago with DH, a 3 year old and a 1 year old and had the same worries, especially since my son had been at nursery back in the UK. However we don't have any problems. All our mornings are full. Both kids go to state swim 1 morning a week (they have a free creche to use whilst your in the pool with 1 child) which takes up 2 mornings. We go to a family music/dance class 1 morning. Then we also have playgroup 1 morning. Then in the afternoons (when its cool enough) we find parks to go. Parks are plentiful and fantastic compared to those back home - just be careful cos the slides get hot enough to burn!!
Libraries do free storytime/craft sessions but they're all in the morning so we haven't made it to any of these yet. Lots of these are geared around under-2's. There are a few toy libraries as well so we quite often go along and borrow some toys.
If its too hot to be out then we quite often just jump in the car and go to a cafe for some ice-cream or milkshake.
