We are currently living North of Brisbane. I Just can not settle hear it just does not do it for me. I often wonder how we ended up hear as I was hear 15 years ago and did'nt like it then.
But I have always had a feeling about Adelaide or South Australia area. I was there 14 years ago and liked it but as a 26 year old thought it pretty boring but thought to myself I'd like to live hear when I'm older. I'm older now but not sure I'm any wiser.
Can any one sway me a little is there anyone with experiance of both South Australia & the Brissie area. Or just tell me your feelings of SA were is good and not so good.
I know ultimatly I have to make my own mind up but when I tell them up hear of my plans they all think I'm mad. So it'll be nice to hear the veiws of people who actually know as most people who have given me there oppinion have not even been to SA.
I have been in Brissie for almost 3 years. Originally from South Ockendon in Essex.
What specifically u looking to find out?
Hello johatts
The way I see it is we don't all have the same taste in Tea and Brissie is not my cup of tea maybe Australia is not my cup of tea? But I want to give SA a go before I hold my hands up and sayI had enough. I want some general feed back really anything alldo.
Hi John
Pm'd you about the other post you have on PIO web, I hope it is of use to you.
Well I dont live in Australia and only visited Brisbane and Adelaide. We are actually heading to Brisbane as kids and hubbie loved it there (think it was more to do with the footie team they can join with my cousin!). Lucky enough we do have family in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Darwin but as I say Brissie the place we are going.
Personally I loved Adelaide it felt more homely not sure why just had a good feeling about it. It is so easy to find your way about in Adelaide (no sense of direction). There were times in Brissie when I felt like I was in America but Adelaide did not have this feeling and was how I imagined Australia to be like.
Worth giving it go, if brissie is not for you and by the sounds of things you have been unlucky with the work situation in Brisbane and thats bound to make you feel unhappy
