SA - location???

Hi everyone, trying to get into SA on a sponsorship, but wanted to know the best place for a brit to settle - well for the time being anyway.
SA is so big and all looks beautyful so trying to focus on a particular area is tough.

I am thirty, wife 32, and baby of almost 2, want to live in nice neighbourhood with good schools and close to beach is a must. Ideally with other young families for us to socialise with (for us and daughter).
We will be on our own as no family here, at moment anyway, although my brothers say they may follow once I get settled??? Cant see that happening, but we can hope. Any suggestions will be great.

Oh, and definatly need to be where I can get employed, currently a roofer, may need to be sponsored to get in, not 100% sure yet, migration agent is working on it.
Also, whilst on the subject, dealing with migrationexpert.com. Any views on them?

Hiya Mark and welcome.

Finding an area to live is a common issue.

It will depend on work/do you want beach/hills living and so on - Oh and the big one - budget.

Properties in the South are a little cheaper at the moment.

Hi Mark,close to a beach means more expensive here ( usually ).At the moment building trades are doing well work wise. As Tyke said your budget is important and will probably dictate where you will buy a house. Good luck with your application.

Good idea, don't mention the sharks and blue ringed octopus and the HUNTSMAN.

i remember my first Huntsman.
Daughter comes running into the lounge,DAD there's a huge spider in the loo and im bursting.
I grab the spray ''out the way'' says i, ( cos i'm not scared) its on the ceiling, i point the spray and give it a good burst.You know what happened next dont you.

B****y thing drops like a stone to the floor and runs for me leg.
I was out of that door like a rat up a drain pipe ( cos i'm not scared you know ).

I'm OK with them now and can catch them in the glass and put them outside,but way back then was a different matter.

We had a Koala run across the land a couple of weeks ago - I didn't believe they could run so fast!!!
