visa help

can anyone help me please.
I am a self employed wall and floor tiler and want to move to south australia, the only problem is that i can see is that i pass the points test but dont have 6 or more years experience in my trade, as i did the courses later on in life when i left the royal marines and needed a new career. do you think i could get state/territory-nominated independent (permanent) or should i go for skilled independent regional (provisional) and aply for a perminant visa after 2 years.

i know its a hard question but any advise from people in the same boat as me, or know people that have done this will help me and my family greatly.

Hi Paul

I wouldn't like to say really. I think the best thing for you to do would be to contact an agent and they would give you the advice you needed. We used access migration and they were excellent, but there are lots of other people out there as well. What we liked about access is if they don't get you in you get part of your money back. Therefore the are only likely to take you on if they think they can get you in so you know where you stand straight away really.
Here's the link if you want to have a look: Immigration Service - Access Migration

Hi Paul

I am really not sure. I would hate to give you the wrong information however I am sure there will be someone out there who knows the process on job requirements. My hubbie had been in his trade since leaving school therefore we didn't have that issue to contend with; sorry.
