Hiya

A few difficult questions there as some are going to be personal opinion ( before Lazy Cow comes and slaps me around the ear)

A lot of new arrivals are settling in the following areas:
Woodcroft,Seaford,Hallett Cove,Aldinga,Moana,Aberfoyle Park,Happy Valley.

All are decent areas and the schools I hear are OK.

As a tiler you will find work, just a question of time. The building trade is strong.

As for property......depends where you want to live.
Sea front is expensive, as is near the city.
have a look on Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au and enter in the areas I mention above.

People are generally friendlier here, even us Poms!!
Feels safer as well

Hi Paul

Yes I agree with Tyke (don't faint Tyke). They are difficult questions as what one person likes another doesn't. When we got over here the places we had seen on the net looked different and had a different feel to them.

The best advice with regards to the school would be have a look around them and see which one you like the look of first. Public schools are zoned so it would depend on where you are living.

Often it is good to get a house around the area where you are working as Adelaide is very big and you could be travelling for hours if you are not careful. Real Estate.com is a great starting place, my advice would be find an area then ask people if they know anything about it.

Everyone is very friendly over here, which is great.

Hope this helps a little.
Mrs TinB
PS Tyke, you should be scared if LC hits you around the ears with her udders you'll never be the same again.
