So good a question you posted it twice:)

I don't think that anyone can give you a definitive answer.

The two places have their own merits /downsides and weather.

Adelaide (where I live) has seasons and is cold and wet at the moment , whereas Brisbane is a fairly constant temp.

Never been to Brisbande so couldn't give you a non-biased answer, sorry. Always wanted to go and have a look see though. We love Adelaide, but then again Australia is great. It depends what you are looking for from a place really. I would be tempted to look at the house prices and the wages for your chosen trade and that would guide me; knowing what we know now.

Good luck it is a difficult choice for you.

Hey Shirley don't apologies for doing something twice, I do it all the time just to make sure that I got it right the first time.

Anyway there are lots of great places to live in Adelaide. Personally I would avoid Elizabeth, Salisbury, Paralowie and Wingfield areas, ( there are a few more but as I am old I have forgotten their names) I know there are some good parts in those places but from our point of view I wouldn't like to live there. Worked up at Paralowie for a short while and met some very interesting people.

What did you think of Brisbane?

Yes, but that's your dementia talking Mrs T.

No, go to Brisbane....Adelaide is our secret!

However, if you are set on coming here, I would advise getting here before deciding on which are the 'good' or 'bad' areas. Just my humble opinion, but the 'best' location seems to change from year to year...probably something to do with prices rising as areas become more 'desirable'...which just goes to show how flimsy public opinion can be.

I totally respect Mrs T's opinions (not her though!), but I would still suggest getting here first. If we could have our time again, I think we would look seriously at Whyalla...

Yours not-very-helpfully-but-trying-to-be,
LC
