What a fantastic post & Mr Tyke, can i say one thing?

We are hoping to come out but think it will be in Sydney due to job and sponsorship taking us there, and we have exact same attitude as you do and are coming out to give it all we have and live the oz way but work for it hard and are really excited but have also researched loads so have our eyes open, we wont give it up too soon as we will give it the maximum. That is our attitude to everything in life, very good luck with a lot more years in oz to come for you and your family and i will keep you posted how we get on.

Once again thankyou very a fantastic post

Great post Tyke. Happy anniversary and all the best to you and your family, I hope that the olive oil will one day make you rich. Hope the wind from last night didn't do any damage up or down your way.

Yes, it is a nice post to read.

I think having a positive attitude makes all the difference. You obviously wanted success, worked hard for it and can now enjoy it..well done all you Tykes!

Do you sell your olive oil in the shops? It'd be interesting to try some..you know real pommie-Aussie oil.

- and I always agree with you!*
LC

*I probably don't/won't, but why not suck up a bit..after all it is his anniversary

Tyke has a spectacular aura aboutTyke has a spectacular aura about
Thanks for all of your kind words

I've had loads of Pm's/emails and on - forum replies and questions. Seem like what I said hit a note with people.

I have to admit that in some of the forums at the moment there are a few people who are quite unhappy here in Oz.Perhaps it is because the weather has turned now and winter is coming in.

Attitude is everything!!

As requested by the Clayton gang I'll pop a few thought/ tips and hints in here now and again.many might have heard them before but if just one finds some new info it would be worth it.

LC............ we are not a big olive grove - think "Boutique" At best we only harvest 5 tons per season. This year the harvest will be diabolical and only a small % of that. The dry spell had a terrible effect on the flowering time here.

We are not in the shops much - the bottling is a right pain!!

Look for "Giardini Grove" - often we put them in the gift baskets that Mrs Tyke makes for car dealers.
Also sold by Brian's Olive Shop at McLaren Vale but in bulk - just look for Onkaparinga Hills

Dear Tyke

I don't think you make enough olive oil for LC to bathe in, you would need a lot more olive trees for that, but the thought was there I suppose. Bless her tanned hide.
