I'm coming over.........

I'm coming over to Adelaide in the 1st week of april to have a look around. Can any one recommend areas to look at for schools, housing, somewhere with a good family based community?

Hi

A lot of the Brits tend to head for the Southern areas. Flagstaff Hill, Aberfoyle park and surrounding areas are some of the ones that spring to mind. Avoid O'Sullivan beach area as someone posted on Adelaidebrits that there had been problems down there on a night time. Be careful of Elizabeth, Salisbury and Paralowie areas. Greenwith and around Tee Tree Plaza up that way is very nice though. The thing with Adelaide is that it is very big and what one person finds nice is not what someone else likes. Someone posted on Adelaidebrits that if the local shops are well maintained then it is a nice area. As simple as this may sound it is actually an effective way of telling a good area. West-lakes, Glenelg, Brighton and areas around there are all good areas. Unley is another nice place, the list goes on, but hopefully these will be a start for you.

Do you know why i should avoid those areas?
