I think i am going to start calling you two the Bisto Kids

I dont mind if the girls go to a public or private school as long as they are happy and well educated (and not bullied ) the situation at the school they are currently in is driving me mad .

My biggest problem at the moment is my mum, she is denial about us going and will not talk about it, when I do try and talk to her she ends up in tears and that starts me off, subsequently I've had a few down days about the move and have got a constant headache.

Hi Tracie

I am sure LC has been called a lot worse than that!!!

I have to admit that has been the hardest part of the move for me, parents. My mum didn't want to talk about it either. I really wanted to share our highs and lows with her but I learned that it was upsetting her too much. So I respected her non-verbal actions and only told her the main events. Everyone has different ways of handling things, for my mum it was not talking about it. I can only imagine how I would feel if my child did the same, I would like to think that I could be strong enough to be as positive as my dad was as it makes it easier. And lets face it we don't take this decision lightly.

Keep your chin up dear.

Alli

Dear the Dolls bit,

Firstly Mrs T. sounds far too old to be called a 'Kid'. I mean what are 'bingo wings' anyway? My young lissome arms are quite free of any swingy bits.:p

Secondly, I really feel for you. Leaving loved ones is incredibly hard. We had to wait until my parents were dead,'cos I wasn't strong enough to leave them- even though they wanted me to.( But only because they felt that my family would be better off over here, obv.)

My friend is incredibly close to her parents, yet she's been in Melbourne now for nearly three years. She regrets leaving them, but has never regretted emigrating. She talks to them at least once a week, and is looking forward to the time when they can come and visit for months at a time.

So, I'd say ; if you really want this, then enjoy now, and remember you can have your Mum AND your new life here.

LC

Calm down dear, it's only a commercial! Do you remember that annoying advert in the UK just watching it made me want scream.

Take a chill pill Mrs or chew on some more grass.

Mrs TinB
PS I think your Tourette Syndrome is back again.

Sorry, it made me want to scream.

Anyway do you know of any good schools in Adelaide when you've finished chewing the cud?

Thanks

Thanks LC and MrsT,

Even though you are both totally mad (which gives me a giggle when I read your posts ). It just seems such a long time away till anything positive happens and the waiting is killing me - I am not a very patient person which drives my husband mad .

Im hoping mum will give in when we are settled (if we get a visa that is lol) and come and live with us, yes she will drive me mad but I'm willing to pay the price for that.

Hows the hunt for bra sizes and good schools Mrs T?
Have you got any Bisto yet MC?
