Dear the Dolls bit,
Firstly Mrs T. sounds far too old to be called a 'Kid'. I mean what are 'bingo wings' anyway? My young lissome arms are quite free of any swingy bits.:p
Secondly, I really feel for you. Leaving loved ones is incredibly hard. We had to wait until my parents were dead,'cos I wasn't strong enough to leave them- even though they wanted me to.( But only because they felt that my family would be better off over here, obv.)
My friend is incredibly close to her parents, yet she's been in Melbourne now for nearly three years. She regrets leaving them, but has never regretted emigrating. She talks to them at least once a week, and is looking forward to the time when they can come and visit for months at a time.
So, I'd say ; if you really want this, then enjoy now, and remember you can have your Mum AND your new life here.
