Hi Andrew,

Adelaide is a small city in comparison to Sydney and Melbourne, I think the population is around 1m. Adelaide has some excellent schools and you have the option of private or public, the private schools can be co-ed or just boys or just girls. Some schools are better than others so it is best to ask around for what your looking for. We don't have children yet, but have one on the way.

Work depends on what you do there is always lots of jobs for hairdressers and nurses in the paper also many trades are in demand also. There is pleanty of work as long as your skilled or prepared to take what is available. Wages again depend on the job but as a guide administration roles around A$30K, sales managers in retail around $55K, and executive roles $65K +.

Lifestyle in Adelaide in summer is beach, surf, fishing, bbq's, and most weekends people are out shopping or doing something social. Generally people are nice and the traffic is not bad most of the time. Good public transport, and plenty to do and see in and around Adelaide.

I hope this info helps, if you have any other questions please just ask.

Sonia
