Anyway back to the original subject, when you do a search on here if you want to be near the beach type in these locations: Hove, Seaview Downs, Brighton, Glenelg, West Beach, Henley Beach, Tennyson, Semaphore and then it will give you all the places in between as well, which will give you a better idea of what you are looking for.

Hi Kiki

Don't know too much about Aldinga, but it's very nice down there, been there a few times. Seems to be an up and coming area. Don't know much about the schools down there heard a few things about Norlunga school though, not positive things. It takes about 35 minutes to get into the town centre from there. Maybe LC might know a bit more about it than me, she seems more worldly wise than myself as she is a gold class member of Adelaidebrits (she's got more friends than me ).

We had to come to South Australia as they sponsored our visa, ta very much to SA. We have to stay in SA for 2 years then we can run around the rest of OZ causing mayhem . Not homesick at first as there was too much to do and it seemed like a holiday and a big adventure. Being homesick hits me at all different times, the strangest things can bring it on. Christmas is usually a good roller coaster ride of emotions and birthdays etc. No job lined up before we came, my hubbie knocked on doors and went to agencies until he found something. We were one of the lucky families to get On Arrival Accommodation, it was cheap and clean but in a bit of a rough neighbour hood. I wanted to run out of the door when I saw it, however we stayed for the full 12 weeks and made the most of the cheap accommodation with no bills to pay except the rent.

Hope that's some help for you.

Silly moo! Of COURSE I have more friends than you, dear dear tsk tsk. As for being a gold class member of AdBrits, well, that's just Mrs PotatoMasher being facetious!

I don't know much about Aldinga OR Aldinga Beach..except that naughty Maslin Beach is nearby!

Remember that 35 minutes travelling sounds good - really good in fact, I assume that's using the expressway? -, but is open to change. Does that make sense? Paul's journey from Aberfoyle Park to the CBD used to take 35 minutes, now it takes longer than that just to get to the edge of the city. Shock, horror!

I really don't like to offer advice on areas, schools, chocolate, or in fact anything important, because I truly believe you have to see for yourself. A friend who is a manager at the cinema down Noarlunga knows lots of less than positive things about the area, but then people live very happily there; there's the improved shopping centre, lovely beaches etc, so who's to say?

All I know is there's a mouse in my house and the traps are calling me.

TTFN, LC.

That 35 minutes was by helicopter!! Dah. What planet are you on Mrs LC? Of course it depends on which way the expressway is running at the time, yes it's true if you don't know about the expressway in Adelaide at certain times of the day you can drive one way on it and then it changes to the other direction.
