Size - it's important to me, lol

Sorry but I need to know.
I have lived in Birmingham all my life and would like to know how Adelaide compares sizewise.
Anyone help me out
Carole

Hi Cal

I' visited Adelaide earlier this year. It's probably about the size of Cheltenham, it feels more like a large town than a city!

The centre is really compact and easy to walk around in a day.

My other half came up with a good description of Adelaide - its a village city! Well we thought it was a good decrip!

He has done work in B'ham and with a pop of 900,000 its a similar size to Adelaide & suburbs. He said he could walk across B'ham city centre in 20mins and we found that the same in Adelaide. However the difference comes between the city and the residential areas. Whereas B'ham city spreads out, there is a definate end to Adelaide City with all the parks and then its into the residential suburbs. Also there are not so many high rise buildings in Adelaide so it doesn't feel so crowded either!

I know someone will correct me if I am wrong!!
