I asked you where in Murcia. I know where it is, you are arriving at San Javier airport and going to Torrevieja. I suppose I live in between. Hope the weather changes for the better for you. What is your interest in Oz ?

Sheena, are you heading Orihuela Costa ? If you are, there are plenty of bars and resturants on the strip, the beaches are not too bad. Orihuela itself is inland quite a bit.

Hi, My MumIn-Law lives there, I cannot recall where you are going but I shall ask my Mum-IN-Law tomorrow when I speak with her and see if she knows it.

All I do know is that most times when we go to Spain it rains, but here even in February the sun shines for you !! The beaches are also lovely and clean and the alcohol is the old style when they just keep pouring it for you.

Murcia airport is great, it is so small and hassel free, once you land you are off on your hols!!

Have a lovely time and ile try and get back to you if I have any news

Sorry misread your post, only been to Costa Blanca three times and one of them was for a funeral so not sure how huge the place might be. I have family in Australia although this is not the reason we would like to go, we visited for a holiday and felt it was the right place for us with 2 teenage boys, still plenty of room there for growth which will be good for my boys (I hope), the outside lifestyle also appealing.

So far we have always been very lucky with the weather went in Jan this year and the weather was beautiful, went Feb last year and beautiful and went another time in June and once again beautiful. My Mother-In-Law has had a spat of rain over last few days but generally where they are the weather is probably better than other parts of Spain.

Notice what you say about the beaches, the beaches that we go to are lovely, ile let the other lady know what ones they are when I remember.

We are also looking to go to Brisbane

Hi Andalog,
My parents intend to come to oz on a parent visa, they have not applied as yet, currently living 1 hour from Malaga on Costa del Sol with a villa to sell.

My parents have retired to not far from Mazarron. I have already booked my two week holiday for the end of August! Mum and Dad really like Australia but I dont think they will leave Spain as they are really settled there now. Dad has a cousin in Brisbane. I'm heading to Melbourne myself. My trip to Spain in August will be me saying goodbye as I fly to NZ on the 15th Sept on a working holiday visa while I wait for 175 visa for oz to come through, I cant wait!

Hi Helen
Mazarron has loads of nice little coves, some very secluded. Have been there a few times. Good luck in NZ.
