from croydon to perth

Hi everyone we are new to all this! We will be leaving the uk at the end of september and will be moving to perth, its kind of back home for me.Our daughter who will be 17 in a few months is coming with us but is not that happy about it.Is there anyone out there doing the same as us who would like to meet up?? It seems that everyone has young ones!!Cant wait to hear from you

I have 2 daughters in the uk 18 & 21 with their dad & one daughter aged 14 here with me in oz.
My 14 year old settled very eaisly into oz and im sure that your 17 year old will do too,i guess all you can do is talk to her about oz and then give her her own space to sort out her own thoughts etc, 17 is a very hard age to leave your friends & their own little world that she is in, guess you could put yourself in her shoes and you could then see both sides of the coin, (i know i would of hated it if my parents had wanted to upsticks to the otherside of the world when i was 17)

Hi Stuju thanks for that. We are leaving our other 3 kids here in the UK. They are 27, 26, an 23 it is going to be so very hard we are both having up and down days! But life is never easy, we both have jobs we hate and i do have family over in Oz.And like people keep saying we have to try it or we will never no.
