thanks for your welcome to PIO. We returned to wakefield because we were running out of funds and my partner didnt get any replies from job aplications (over thirty of them to various companies) he is an experienced engineer, we have permenant residency and australian recognised engineering certificates. We went after two years of careful planning but still werent prepared for the culture shock (as we found it) alas we are returning to brisbane after saving yet again! and giving it another go. The weather is great, beaches are lovely and now we know what to expect. We regreted our move back as soon as we landed in manchester airport, even though we both are professionals with great wages here in england we would rather live and work in the sunshine! life is what you make it and we are ready to try again!

We (mitchell, shelley and 3 children) were out on the GoldCoast in April. We could do with a meet to bring the dream alive again. We like so many other's haven't sold yet and the likley hood of us going, even though we have validated, seems to be slipping away. I think we are just fed up treading water!!!!
Anyway, we live in Rothwell so if there is another meet can you count us in. We'd prefer something that involves the kids as it's good for them to meet other kids going throught the same thing.
Hi, we're on the Gold Coast already, but weren't too far from you, Oldham, and have an 18 mth old called Luke too! Hopefully we'll meet you when you get over.

Sorry I haven't been of much help but things have been a bit mad around here lately!

Just found out about the meet, we will be there minus our two children as they are going to the party in the park.
Looking forward to meeting new people, haven't yet been to a meet organised on this site, although have been to a couple organised via a/move and have made some really good friends.

Sorry but we're not going to be able to make it this time, we're going to go up to the Edinburgh meet that had been arranged beforehand. Never been so we're going to make a wknd of it. However if we get back at any reasonable time we might call in & see you all. If we don't make it hope you all have fun and we'll try & get to meet some other time.
