Hi all on PIO....

We have just registered with this website.

We are a family of 5 and we are from Wakefield. We are in the early stages of process (just sent of my vitassess form off for skills test). We plan on going to Adelaide so was wondering if anyone else was thinking of moving there and close to us for a possible meet to exchange advice.

Hi all

I'm so sorry for not posting something before now after offering to arrange a meet......so much on...no time!!!!

I thought it would make sense to agree on a date first and then I will make all the other arrangements (with a little help that has been so kindly offered by a few willing souls!)

We would be ok to meet on the 27th july.

So does anyone have a neutral venue in mind to suit all wanting to meet?
We had a meet in April and we met at the Brickworks Pub just off the M62 Birstall, and it was fine for space and also those with kids can always use the wacky warehouse part available.

Please let us know of where the concensus says ....LOL

Nice to hear you are already at the Gold Coast we plan to move their once the house sells can you tell me something about Coombabah we had a reccie holiday over a year ago but never got that far had a look round Runnaway Bay , Labrador area but it all looks nice we are over 50 so fancty some of the over 50 complexes do you know much about them

thanks for your welcome to PIO. We returned to wakefield because we were running out of funds and my partner didnt get any replies from job aplications (over thirty of them to various companies) he is an experienced engineer, we have permenant residency and australian recognised engineering certificates. We went after two years of careful planning but still werent prepared for the culture shock (as we found it) alas we are returning to brisbane after saving yet again! and giving it another go. The weather is great, beaches are lovely and now we know what to expect. We regreted our move back as soon as we landed in manchester airport, even though we both are professionals with great wages here in england we would rather live and work in the sunshine! life is what you make it and we are ready to try again!
