Hi Guys ..... After A Very Succesful Meet In York It Has Been Suggested We Do Another One .... This Time In Edinburgh !!!
Although I Live Only An Hour From There I Am Not Familiar With Hotels /pubs ....could Anyone Please Suggest A Hotel With A Meeting Room That Also Does Meals .... And If Possible Child Friendly ... It Will Probably Be Arranged For Early Sept As Fellow Scots Will Know That July And Aug Are Very Pricey With Tattoo ..... Thanks In Advance

When i went earlier this year we stayed at Express by Holiday inn just like york but had its own dining area not to far from the train station and pubs,comedy clubs 5 min walk to princess st.
also don't pick 6th as we are going to see lee evans in nottingham

Hi, we have only been on this forum for a short while, and noticed alot of these meets, but did not notice one for Scotland, so is good to see one maybe coming up. We have never been to a meet either, so not sure what to expect!! Sorry!!!
Would love to try and make it though if this is possible, so will look out for dates etc.
We are also about an hour away, but sorry not sure myself of places in Edinburgh to have it. What I could do is call our agent, she lives in Edinburgh, and see if she knows of anywhere suitable????

Date ... 26/07/08 .... Just For Mags Lol
Price £30 For Room With Bar ... Holds 50 Peeps
Time .... 3pm / 9pm .... And Then Downstairs To Bar
Chef On Premises To Provide Food If Required .... Of Course Lol
Rooms Available @ £55 / Per Person /per Night Includes Breakfast
Only 10 Min Walk From City Centre

I Have Provisionally Booked And Have Next Few Days To Confirm .... So If Everyone Who Wishes To Defo Come Please Post Asap

Hi y'all,
My wife and i are quite new to this site, and lovin all the friendly advice and tips, so we would love to come along to this meet, we are hoping to be out in Brisbane around Sept this year so to meet up with like-minded people before we go would be great, As for the Thistle hotel it is at the east end of princes street more or less in the city centre (oh forgot to say im originaly from Edinburgh now in Dalgety bay) it is right next to The St James centre, if travelling by train, Edinburgh Waverly is the best station it is only a 5min walk from there, unfortunatley parking can be tricky around there, There is a NCP car park attached to the St James centre but as with all city centre parking on a Sat it can get quite busy, if i can be of any further assistance don't hesitate to ask.......
