We had a really good time at the last two meetings, my husband was a bit dubious about going to the first one, but now can't wait until the 1st June to see some of the great friends we have made. It is great to be able to talk your heart out about Oz without people rolling their eyes and saying "here she goes again"...lol
Everyone is so friendly and helpful, if you have any unanswered questions PIO meets are the place to be.
I hope we do see you there.

We will be there! As was great meeting lots of nice people from PIO last time. Hopefully we will be over our jet lag as validating our visa end of May. Will still be buzzing about oz i'm sure and will love chatting to everyone.

We were just the same when we went to our first meet at the halfway house, there is no need to worry they are a great bunch of people ,we have made some lovely friends, see you there.
We are due to have another Essex meet up soon (May), so how about the Sunday
1st June, (this date is because it's near to Mrs C birthday).....
We meet at the Halfway House on the A127 from 2.00pm onwards, everybody is welcome... the pub does food and they do have a garden for the kids to play (hopefully the weather will be better this time).
So if you are new to the site and live in or around the Essex area and would like to come and meet and chat to people that are already in the process (at all different stages) then come along.
So let see if everyone can make the 1st June

Mystic Mel takes this as another omen - 1st June is our 17th wedding anniversary, & l said back in Jan when our medicals were done on my 40th birthday, that we would get our visa 1st June!
After a brief bit of optimism of getting the visa v soon, l have now settled back into a state of pessimism about the whole ****** thing. So l am now counting down to 1st June and if it comes any quicker it will be a brucie!
Either way, we will be celebrating 1st June and the afternoon meet sounds like a great way to start off. (l am taking the precaution of booking of the day off work on monday!)

Ooh looks like another good meeting coming up. It sounds like we are all in the mood for a PARTY! I will be as my 40th Birthday/Leaving Party is on the 31st May, so I will really need to book Monday off work.
Our Wedding Anniversary is on the 5th June, so Richard and I really do have a lot to celebrate.
