Hi all. Im originally from Carshalton too. My 3 kids (8, 5 & 1) all born in st helier and I still live nearby sutton. My hb is from Bromley but I dragged him away from his family, now he's dragging me even further away from mine lol. When are you all going to Oz? Were hoping to go sept, just waiting on my hb skills assessment as he's sparky.

we're at a bit of a standstill at the mo...my job i do here cant get sponsors for (police staff) as the government wont sponsor.
and my hubby job (bus driver) have been told there is real shortage of them out there but again government wont let them sponsor anyone!
so looks like I will be doing a course here from sept for next couple yrs (too expensive on a student visa) and then hopefully go.
just seems so long away...but will keep mailing companies in the meantime and see where we get

Oh wow thats a shame but you will get there soon enough, where are you based? are you with met? my brother-in-law is with surrey keeps telling me how his friend came home from oz bcoz the oz police force are horrible so "thats why he won't go", maybe i'll tell him they won't want him anyway lol. Good luck with you're course and all. x

yep am in the met...not that nice here either so dont think can be much different in oz? maybe need a change of career anyway as all my friends say i'm too hard and a recluse!

We are looking to go sept/oct. My husband is sparky to. Just waiting for visa now, seem to be in back log of August 07.
Anyway heading for Melbourne, husband does not want to be sweating his ..... off in lofts with giant spiders up the gold coast! (may move up there later if not warm enough although he does'nt know that yet!)
