Thanks all for replying - it's great that so many people are up for it - with and without kids. It will be good to meet others in a similar situation.
The plan is to meet at Dee Why beach next to the park which is alongside the beach at 12ish for a picnic on the 31 August - for those who arrive later we can arrange another one in September so not to worry.
Parking can get a bit busy but there is a car park behind the Surf Club at the end of the road or alternatively it's quite residential so there should be street parking. I'll think of a mascot to bring so you know who we are (probably winnie the pooh).
If you can RSVP and let me know if you plan on coming then we know who to look out for.

We moved here a week ago so know what you are going through! We are in our early 30's and have two kids but if you fancy meeting up for a glass of wine one evening, then PM me!

Hi. I saw the earlier posts about meeting up for a glass of wine from Vicky and then Jo. I moved here 9 weeks ago with my husband and we would certainly be up for meeting for a drink. We are in our 30s and living near Manly. Hope we can get something organised. Liz
Hi Everyone.......................feeling the same as peeps above.........loving it, embracing it, certainly NOT moaning but do feel the same.......been here since May........would be good to meet others...............we are in Kyeemagh next to Sydney Airport..............get in touch if you'd like to meet as well as the Sydney meet etc.........do understand how you feel BUT it's how you channel it that counts

Hi everyone just read that you are meeting up in August so we'll hopefully meet up with you guys. We've been here since November 2007 and finally feeling 'normal' and not homesick! be good to meet up with Poms though. we have pom friends in Dee Why so hopefully see you there!
