I moved to melbourne too on my own, I am only 22 and study and work over here, I live about 20 mins away from the city in Brunswick. I know how you fel, it is a little scary but Melbourne is very 'uk like'

I came out here on my own too! Are you enjoying it so far? I've been here nearly 3 months now. I'm living in Melbourne and working in the city. Happy to meet up for a drink/coffee/shopping( probably not a good idea to do them all at the same time though!!)

Im new to this site today and just read your messages...did you manage to meet up? Im from Nottingham and have been here since May last year and im currently living in Malvern. Hope you newbies are settling in ok, is anyone working in the city? Im on Queen Street.

My husband and I moved to Melbourne 7 weeks ago and we are just about finding our feet.
I am a nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. With work and having 2 young children meeting people is proving to be difficult. If you do plan a meet up i would love to be included. Hope you are all settling in well.

Haven’t been on here for a few weeks but seems like there’s a few of us who would like a get together which is great news!

Weekends would definitely be better for me; we could meet in the city? Or maybe South Yarra as there’s some nice places to drink/eat on Chapel Street… anywhere else anyone can suggest?

Ive been here just under a year now and have spent a lot of time finding a job, setting up home and getting settled in, haven’t really had chance to meet people other than work colleagues….so in desperate need of a good girly chat and giggle!

Hello Claire and anybody else moving out. Myself (30) husband (38) and son (2) are moving out in August to Berwick and would more than be happy for any get togethers or girls nights out (husband on boys night ). I plan on being a lady who lunches and goes to the beach he he.. Guess I will have to return to the dreaded toddler groups to meet people and kids are always a perfect excuse..
Claire you will probably meet people at work (my friend did).. You will be fine and good luck.
