Melbourne meet end of Feb/early March?

My brood, OH and I are comming over to Melbourne on a recci from 22nd February for three weeks and would love to meet up with anyone living there already. We are staying in Sydenham but are planning on doing a bit of traveling to get a good feed for the place. Also, any suggestions for sightseeing would be great.

Ahh claire,
I see no-one has replied to your post here, i live in melbourne, have been here since December and love it ( but not the spiders!!!)
We live out in the west of the city and really like it ( lots of us british out here)
Day trips mmmm the zoo's are good melbourne,werribee and heathfield sanctuary ( i think thats what they are called) Great oceon rd is a lovely day out, philip island is lovely to see the penguins.
The river cruises are lovely on a good day to see the sights. eurika tower for the adventurous and the skydeck!!! ( no thanks for me as i am scared of heights! )

Maybe someone else will reply also if this is bumped up a little
