Hi i am new to this site I am planning to move to Brisbane in November with my family minus eldest off to uni. I have been lucky enough to be offered several jobs I have wittled them down to 2 At th e Princess Alexandra hospital and a post at the redcliffe hospital I am awaiting my nursing Reg and going on a sponsored visa. Iam having problems with securing rental can any one advice,most agents want you in oz first. 2nd question can you tell me any views on the hospitals regards sue

Heard of them both, did not visit them on our visit as I am a practice nurse and really don't want to return to nights shifts etc! Met up with a couple of agencies instead but unfortunately they don't sponsor.... What are the job offers? - if you don't mind me asking......am considering applying for sponsorship (457) visa as our permanent visa is likely to take several more months and desperate to leave UK now that our minds are made up!....Good luck for whichever you chose...

I have been offered nursing posts within the emergency departments of both 1 with queensland health (redcliffe) and the others through Health Staff recruiting Queensland health have been very good. there is a large australian jobs fair etc in london in November cover everything from jobs,moving pensions banking last time i went was lots of agencies

Hi,

We hope to be out in the southern part of the Gold Coast Dec/Jan and my OH is currently Down Under on a fact finding mission to check out the Burleigh Heads, Mudgeeraba, Robina/Merrimac areas and has appointments at a few of the local primary schools there. We visited the Burleigh Heads area a couple of times a few years back and really like it. When he comes back in just over a weeks time I'll post his findings as it may be useful to some of you!!

We arrived in the Gold Coast one week ago. Living tem in Clear Island Waters but looking at rentals in and around the Burleigh Heads area where my OH will be working.

Hi Em, glad you all arrived safely. We have now got our VISAS - yessss so will hopefully be out around Oct / Nov time! We also really loved Burleigh and surrounding areas up to The Observatory so we could be neighbours! When you get a chance maybe you wouldn't mind updating your arrivals list! Many thanks Nat x
