Sunshine Coast would anyone like to meet up

Angelena, James and Michael 22 months have been here since the 31st January, we live in Mount Coolum which is just beautiful. My husband is a West Ham fan and missing football terribly. I am a housewife and look after Michael who is a little handful. If anyone would like to meet up that would be great.

Hi im new to the site, me and my boyfriend Shaun and my 14 month old son Dylan will be arriving in Oct/Nov in the Pacific Pines area. I am so nervous about starting again, is it hard to meet friends here? Any feedback on settling in etc would be much appreciated! Hope you dont mind me replying!

Meeting other mums

Hello Cath, Where are you moving to? There is a great playgroup at Mons near Buderim that I take Michael to it is just fantastic. It is set on half an acre and has a great outdoor area with lots of toys and swings, slide and that sort of thing. My friend who's daughter is 13 months loves coming it is such a lovely playgroup. We also have an indoor area that we all go into when we first arrive that has toys and activities to do we normally stay in there for an hour or so then go outside. I do not know of any others as I have only gone to that one. I am sure you will meet other people. If you live near me then I would be happy to meet up. Have you been to the Sunshine Coast or Australia. It is just so beautiful. Take care Angelena.x

Hi Angelena, we are moving to Browns Plains south side of the river, it doesn't mean much to me at the moment I was always bad at geography and have no sense of direction (much to my hubbys disgust!).
we fly out 2 weeks today so hope it will be easier to find my way around a bit more when we are there. Do you know if we are entitled to family allowance in OZ ? have just cancelled mine in the UK.
How long have you been out there?

Hello Cath,
I do not know Brisbane at all so I do not know where Browns Plains south side is I will have to look it up in my street directory. We have been here since the 31st January so we are still finding our feet. I do not know if you are entitled to child support I have a temporary visa and I am not it may be different if you are a permanent visa holder. My mum came up from Sydney when we first arrived for 2 weeks it was so good to have her here. I remember when she left I had to drive myself and that is the only time I thought I want to go home because I had no idea where I was going and was terrified. But I know now where I am going I have been driving around a lot to look at different places and getting my bearings..it is surprising how quick I got used to driving around, now it is just second nature. I have a friend that lives in Manly West and is moving to Wynham when her house is built is that anywhere near where you are moving to? What does your husband do for a living. My husband is a binder and finisher and his job was on the demands list for Maroochyshire that is why we choose to come here. It is so beautiful and a lovely place to be. I hope you all have a safe flight.

Have a lovely day.
Angelena x

Hi Angelena

My partner and I are currently renting a house at Twin Waters near Mudjimba. We have four children, two boys aged 6,4,and twin girls aged 11 months, We are buying a house in Buderim. We arrived in Australia in June this year. I would very much like to meet up with you. I would interested in going to a toddler group/play group with you.

Kindest regards Lynda
