Sydney Women's / mums daytime meet

Hi everyone

There is a group of us who meet regularly during the day and anyone is welcome to join us. This month we are meeting at The Hills Flower Market on Mona Vale Road. The cafe is called Cafe Piemonte and is at 287 Mona Vale Road (about 1km after the traffic light junction at Forest Way). The table is booked in the name of First Tuesday Club.

We are meeting at around 10.30 next Tuesday morning (7th August). There is a small children's playground so if you have young children please bring them along. Some of us do take children, some don't.

Hope to meet some of you then.

Love

Daphne

hi there,
has your group taken off and do you now meet regularly?
I am quite new to Sydney, don't yet have a job and would love to meet up with some people in similar positions....
:)

What about the dads?

I keep meaning to post an invitation for the British dads of Sydney to have a get together, but I've been so busy going away myself these last few weeks and I'm about to head off overseas for an extended trip.
If anyone is interested in setting up a Sydney PIO families meetup in the New Year, let us know. I'd particularly like our (boys 8 and 10) meet some other "British" kids as they have now lost their pommy accents altogether!

Hi there,

More for my wife than me, honest!

Is this still happening? We live in Narraweena, 2 young daughters, sounds like a great idea to meet.

Hi,

Just to let you know that 'British Expats' run a First Tuesday Club, which is meeting this Tuesday at The Galston Club in the Hills District from 10.30am. We meet in various locations in Sydney once a month, anyone is welcome to attend but it is usually mums - either with or without their children. If you cannot make it to Galston but would still like to meet up I am happy to meet for coffee one day in the northern beaches area.

I hope this helps.

This would be great for our family, there seems to be loads for me to do and meet people but not so much for the OH, our son is 8 and still has his pommy accent, do you want to borrow him ? Please keep us posted on any meets for the men, thanks.

Hi Rebecca (and other people!)

I'm no longer in Sydney, but yes there is a group which still meets regularly in Sydney. If you have a look on the British Expats website and look in the meetups section you should find several threads started by "Binbird" which will give you all the info about the "First Tuesday Club meets". They are a great group who meet on the first Tuesday of each month, but have extra meets in the school holidays as well. There is another group which meet at the Castle Hill RSL each Tuesday as well. This tends to be a group of mums with younger children, although some of us went along sometimes with no kids in tow! If you go hunting in the Meet ups section on British Expats you should find some info on this group as well.

Good luck finding some friends. The FTC group are a really great group, who I really miss!

Daphne
