Hi there, im hoping to be in Brisbane by December, probably a little ambitious as im still waiting on ANMC!! Although visa turnaround is supposed to be pretty quick at the mo. Im also a nurse and im coming with my son who is almost 8. Will be looking to meet as many people as possible as i think i'll be pretty homesick when i first arrive. Im also after advice on nice places to live just out of CBD. I have been offered a job at Brisbane private hospital although i have a feeling it may fall through now i have decided to wait for PR instead of 457!!

Sorry not there yet but are planning to be on gold coast permanently in Jan if not before (need to convince kids that sooner would be better hehehe). Will be visiting autumn time though and would gladly hook up!
Noticed your OH is a landscape gardener, my daughters boyfriend is joining us on our move on a student visa studying landscape gardening at Brissie TAFE. He is studying and working at this in the UK at the moment. Am sure he would love to chat with you about this if thats OK.
Gonna look up Upper Kedron on my maps to see how far away you are. Will email you to if thats OK

Will be northern end of gold coast by the way - within reasonable travelling time for Alexandra Hills and/or Loganlea along with Southport and Burleigh Heads ?!?!?!

Just read your post and noticed that you said that you were heading towards logonlea we are going to be just alittle way from there in Shailer park from mid sept ,were abouts are you going to be from us maybe we could meet up, we have three children aged 17,19 and 9 yrs.

would be brill to meet up, my daughters boyfriend thinks he may be studying at the tafe campus at loganlea or maybe alexandra hills. my kids (!) are 16, 20 and 21 so good that you have kids of similar ages too. Will have a look at where shailer park is on map too so that l can get to grips with areas etc

Hi, my hubby and 2 children are coming outto Brisbane on 5/9/07, my daughter age 8 and son who just turned 1. can't wait to get there, but not looking forward to the flight!!
My hubby is a mechanic and i was a pharmacy tech although I won't be going to work straight away until kids are settled.
