Wanted: Gold Coast Ex-Pats

Hi everyone

After being on the Gold Coast for nearly 2 and half years Ive noticed a severe lack of clubs/societies offering regular meet-ups for ex-pats living specifically on the Gold Coast. If anyone would be interested in starting up a regular meet-up maybe once a month for all of us coasties please let me know.
Lets get a group going so we can offer support and friendship to one another. Could just be meeting for coffee,lunch at surfclubs, bbq's on the beach, whatever. C'mon I think we need it. Would be nice if we could include all ages too.

Hi Lindsey,

I would definatly like to meet up on a regular basis once I get there We fly out on june 24th so I will keep a look out for any meets arranged for after I arrive as will be wanting to meet people to ward off isolation.

Thanks everyone for your interest. Please contact me nearer the time or when you arrive so we can get something going. I think these things are important as Ive met too many poms here on the coast who feel isolated due to lack of meeting people.

We`re hopefully on our way too ! Job / Visas going through. Possibly going to Robina as Im a nurse about to go for an interview for their new emergency department. Is that anywhere near you or anyone else out there? Haven`t looked at the map to see where everywhere is yet! Would be great to meet up, hope to keep in touch.

Im a nurse at Gold Coast Hospital but based at Southport. Ive been down to Robina a few times, its a nice area and the new ED should be great. Might get transferred down there myself. Hurry up and get out here, you're going to love it.
