Sydney meeting in July

Hi there,

I am arranging a meet up for drinks and the opportunity to meet new people in Sydney. It's provisionally set for Saturday 14th July with a meet up time of 7.30pm onwards. I am asking for possible meeting places because the original venue, the Glenmore Hotel in the Rocks, is currently being renovated. I am just sending out messages at the moment to get some ideas of interest and numbers. Everyone is welcome, it's not going to be just a boys or a girls night and couples are welcome along too. I'm asking as many people as I can that have shown an interest in meeting in Sydney. If you have any suggestions for places to meet, please let me know.

This will be a great opportunity to get out into the city and meet new people so let me what you think

Two suggested venues already are the Grasshopper in the city or the Argyll in the Rocks.

Ok so the numbers are coming in now, we could have quite a good night out if everyone turns up. What would people prefer though in the venue, a busy bar with music or an older style pub where you can chat and mingle?

Good work Rob - I'm definitely in. How about Glenmore hotel in the rocks? If its a nice day we can all meet on the roofgarden and then theres plenty of other pubs around if we get bored.

Hey, I'd be up for this :) Can't be too much help with suggestions of places to meet though, as I only got here about a week ago and still finding my way around :p The Opera bar looks a stunning spot, but guess may be a little pricier cos of its location...The Lowenbrau gets a good review, I think...

Anyway, hopefully meet up with you guys on the 14th :)

The Glenmore sounds perfect except that as far as I know it's being renovated and will not be open until September, if anyone knows any different to this then please let me know.

Another possibility is the Orient Hotel at the Rocks.
