Check out realestate.com.au and domain.com.au for house buying/rental costs (rents advertised per week).

Energyaustralia.com.au will give you an idea of gas & electricity costs.

Hays salary survey will give you an idea on salaries.

liqourland.com.au will give an idea of booze costs

carsales.com.au will give an idea of car prices and transport.qld.gov.au will give an idea of ongoing rego costs

When renting the landlord pays the rates and there is no TV licence

foxtel.com.au will give satellite TV costs

For phone costs teltra.com.au will give an idea although they are one of the pricier for mobiles

We are wanting to go to Brisbane, Queensland. We are hoping to go in November this year if we get our visa by then. We received Qld ss Jan 6th 2010 and on cat 5, just waiting and more waiting.
