Not in this state "Kindy" is the first year of proper school. It's full time. The cut off for NSW is July 31, which is quite late by comparison to other states. Your child has to be in full time school by the age of 6 So: 2017 Kindy year, your child's DOB can be from 31 Jan 2011 to 31 July 2012 2018 Kindy year, your child's DOB can be from 31 Jan 2012 to 31 July 2013 .....and so on.
