Alanandfiona
Hi I was thinking of going to the down under live expo this weekend in Glasgow. Just wondering if anyone has been before and if they found it useful? Thanks Fi x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

can1983
My sister is going to one soon, no idea why, she's married to an Aussie! What does she need to learn about? How to get a tax file no or register for Medicare i think the main purpose of them is to rack in cash whilst selling a dream that isn't there's to sell
NicF
We went to one years ago. I'm married to an Aussie and had already applied for my visa but I found it helpful to get names and brochures for companies that would be helpful for the move (removal companies, money transfer places etc). Most of the info we got from the expo you could get from this site to be honest, but I wasn't on the site at the time. It was kind of useful but I'm not sure it was worth the 1.5 hour drive but we did get some time away from the kids and lunch out.
mrtc
You can find most stuff out from a search engine to be honest. You should seek initial assistance from a visa agent if you're struggling at to what to do. You'll figure out the rest from help on forums like this & Google. ABG
I wasn't over wowed by the show. If you have zero idea about the process you'll learn something, plus can get visa assessments and contact details. It was much smaller than I had hoped. benj1980
I went to one in London years ago and spoke to a few people who really just gave me more things to think about and research. It was good from that point of view plus Ireland were playing Australia in the rugby WC and they had the game on at the time. Ireland won :-)
