Guest
Hi, Does anyone know the requirements to getting an australian pension: how long do you have to live in Australia for, if you have to have worked for so many years and if your a citizen or a resident etc..... We are both living back in UK but my husband is not an Australian citizen as he went over on a partner subclass 100 visa, which has now expired. He only lived in Australia for 2 years and worked during that time. We are thinking of moving back in the future but don't know when, depends if he is entitled to an australian pension etc..... I know he will be able to transfer his UK pension though. Any advice would be a big help, thank you.:err: Edited February 6, 2017 by Bubbly boo
Gbye grey sky
Qualification is 10 years residency I believe. His UK pension will be deducted. If he will be coming to work he has the opportunity to build up Superannuation for retirement.
Skani
The eligibility requirements are listed here, including age, residence, income and assets tests: https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/services/centrelink/age-pension
