Tax Advice

Hi

I will be moving to Australia shortly with my family, I have been a dual national for over 17 years through descent and require some tax advice etc as I am confused with being a dual national and what needs to be in place from living and working in Australia previously.

Could anyone recommend any contacts?

Thank you

Being a dual national make no difference to your tax situation. Although both Immigration and the ATO use the term "resident" they each have their own definition and the other organisation has no bearing on it. You can be an Australia Citizen but still be a non-resident for tax purposes. You can be a foreign citizen but still be a resident for tax purpose.
