usherer
So, I've spent a bomb on teacher registration and police checks from 3 countries (not to mention the visa 189 application itself..), and just want to save $42 if I can! For visa 189, a National Police Check is required (https://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks). It's done by AFP. When registering with SA TRB, a national police history check was done ($25) by the board. Is it possible to use the latter for visa 189 application? The AFP required for visa purposes is a specific type of Police Check. A Police history check is not sufficient.
Dragonflygecko
Not worth it, just spend the $42 the police checks done for immigration are specific for that.
