ZAN
Hi to everybody. My wife, son and I came from Canada and became citizens 6 months ago. I worked in Canada since I was 14, and I'm 44 now. Please can anyone tell me how I can transfer my retirement funds to Australia before age 65? Also how do I find out how much Canadian retirement funds I have? Thank you, ZAN

Andrew from Vista Financial
Hello Zan It is possible to transfer foreign superannuation funds to Australia and this may or may not be beneficial depending on the type of Canadian Scheme you have. However I am not familiar with how Canadian pension fund work and/or the tax implications of moving the scheme out of Canada (or if it is even possible). I think it may pay to discuss this with a Canadian Financial Adviser in the first instance to understand if it is possible and the implications that may be involved.
