blossom
Can you just change companies and they'll send you a final bill or do you need to let them know? I'm really not keen for the whole them trying to offer me better deals which are actually no better lol.
Peach
you need to let them know -- otherwise they'll keep charging you every month..
Johndoe
Take a look at Woolies plans. The same plan I have from woolies for $52 costs $90 with Telstra
Quoll
Just change companies and you never have to talk to your original provider! You'll get your bill as usual but once you've done paying them, that's it. IIRC I just went into the new provider and said "I want to keep the number" and they did it all. Quite painless really, but my contract had expired years before.
Guest
Keep the phone ditch the plan and go PAYG. Aldi/Woolies/Coles all have great deals amongst other companies

blossom
Go PAYG! Get your freedom back! That's the plan. I can save myself a load of money. Even if I need to buy another phone outright I'll be saving money.

I've managed without mobile contracts since 2003....and I'm still here and I have a nice functioning smart phone ;-)
