They don't take anywhere near that number. Last year it was less than 3% of that. I didn't check this year recently but it was on track for similar numbers when I was granted my visa. DIBP set ceilings for occupations based on estimated demand in that occupation (usually 5% of total demand) Accountants ceiling however has been set at a lower 2.5% of total demand....
