am sure Australia really needs another 8700 Electricians to be looking for jobs along with all the ones that are unemployed just now!

 

One does wonder in which strange parallel universe some of these numbers are fabricated. :rolleyes:

They don't take anywhere near that number. Last year it was less than 3% of that. I didn't check this year recently but it was on track for similar numbers when I was granted my visa.

What does this mean ?:

 

*The occupation ceiling for Accountants was set at two and half per cent for the 2015-16 programme year, a further reduced ceiling of two and a half per cent will apply for the 2016-2017 programme year.

DIBP set ceilings for occupations based on estimated demand in that occupation (usually 5% of total demand)

 

Accountants ceiling however has been set at a lower 2.5% of total demand....
