I have family who live in Queensland, not far from surfers paradise (about 20/25 minute car journey). however I was wondering if anyone who is currently or recently been to surfers to know what its like to get a job there? lewism05 Posted March 3, 2016 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Hi, Me and my girlfriend are currently staying on Chevron Island, 15 minute walk from Surfers Paradise. Been here almost a month now. Found it hard to get work. My girlfriends a hairdressers and has just got a job at a local salon. Only casual as and when they need. I have only just got a job at a call centre. Don't think it will least long for both parties. So it seems casual work is the norm. Applied for loads face to face and online and didn't have much or any luck.
