loftyfreeman
Evening all, I know its completely the wrong time of year to be asking this but what does everybody do for their winter sports fix? Do you go to NZ or I've heard Japan is fairly decent. Cheers all
Bobj
Funnily enough, Australia has as much snow as Switzerland. Or, at least, the snow area is as big. Cheers, Bobj.
Skani
There are ski resorts in southern NSW - Thredbo and Perisher areas - and in Victoria, north east of Melbourne - Falls Creek, Mt. Hotham and Mt. Buller. Otherwise locals head for NZ in the southern winter or Japan, Canada/US or Europe in the northern winter.

Azh
I would advise going to NZ or Japan, I worked in Thredbo for a season and on a good snow day it was amazing, but it's just so small. 8 years ago it was 100 dollars a day so I dread to think how much it costs now. Can't say anything about perisher tho as I have never been. Just heard a lot of people say it's really flat. JockinTas
My sons used to go snowboarding at Mount Buller in Victoria. My brother had a house in Queenstown NZ and they reckoned the snowboarding on The Remarkables was fantastic.
