cherries002 Posted November 19, 2015 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Very dumb question.... We have 30kg each to fly with Emirates for baggage and 7.5 with cabin bags. deryans Posted November 19, 2015 Share Posted November 19, 2015 any combination of bags up to 30kg per person, typically you don't want your checkin big singles to weigh more than 23kg each (baggage handlers don't like it and neither will you at the destination). When flying with Emirates you can enjoy the following checked baggage allowances: Weight concept 30kg in Economy Class 40kg in Business Class 50kg in First Class For tickets issued on or after 15th November 2014 Individual items with total dimensions (length + width + height) exceeding 300cm (118 inches) cannot be transported as checked baggage, and must be sent as cargo or freight. There are no exceptions to this rule. For tickets issued prior to 15th November 2014 Items beyond 300cm (118 inches) and up to 400cm (157 inches) in length may be accepted in exceptional cases. Please contact your local Emirates office for details at least seven working days prior to travelling with such items. Items exceeding this limit must be referred to Emirates SkyCargo. If the free baggage allowance is exceeded, normal excess charges apply. Baggage policy for Canada, North America or South America For itineraries including any destinations in Canada, North or South America, different baggage rules apply. For Canada and North America, customers are allowed two bags of up to 23kg each in Economy Class, and two bags of up to 32kg each in First Class or Business Class. For South America, customers are allowed two bags of up to 32kg each in all classes. For travel on Emirates from Australia, New Zealand or Asia to North or South America which includes a stopover in Dubai greater than 24 hours, or a sector in Europe or Africa, the weight concept will apply for the entire ticketed journey. Piece concept For tickets issued on or after 15th November 2014 Total dimensions (length + width + height) of each piece must not exceed 150cm (59 inches). Individual items with total dimensions exceeding 300cm (118 inches) cannot be transported as checked baggage, and must be sent as cargo or freight. For customers with two pieces of luggage in all three classes, the total combined dimensions of both pieces should not exceed 300cm (118 inches). For tickets issued prior to 15th November 2014 Total dimensions (length+ width+ height) of each piece must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches). For Economy Class customers with two pieces of luggage, the total combined dimensions of both pieces must not exceed 273 cm (107 inches). Customers with baggage exceeding these dimensions will be charged an additional fee.
