I've developed a headache trying to find the answer on shipping company websites so thought I'd ask here...:confused: I'm moving to Oz in December and plan to just take some personal belongings in 10 or so boxes. Cheapest quote i got was with SevenSeas but then I've noticed the $198AUD 'Goods examination fee' for 'the examination of the goods and processing of the documentation to obtain quarantine clearance, but excludes any customs duties or quarantine treatment charges if any.' which when added on makes Pickfords cheaper I think unless they have additional costs too. For those of you who have used companies other than SevenSeas to ship boxes were there any additional charges on top of your quote (assuming no cutoms/quarantine issues)? calNgary Posted October 15, 2015 Share Posted October 15, 2015 We shipped with Crown way back when we moved and they included all costs. The only bill we had on arrival was a small delivery charge because we were just out of the 'range' of free delivery. This couldn't have been charged before as we didn't know where we would end up or have an address at the time.
