Hi Everyone,

I'm Melissa and we are moving to Perth in January, I am Mum to 2 boys, Marley - Age 9 and Nate age 3........

Marley is very worried about moving to Perth and leaving his friends and family, he is lucky that he has a Nanny and Grandad already living in Perth and has some cousins and Aunties and Uncles there too......but, he still feels scared.

I'm hoping some of you lovely youngsters on here who have been through to move could help him out with a bit of reassurance that it will all be ok.

He loves footy and is a big Man Utd fan, he also loves swimming, rounders and scooting......

Any help or words of advice would be very much appreciated :)

Thanks Guys xx

Tell him that he will be fine - all the kids at school will want to talk to him because he is new and he can make more new friends. I know a few people with kids between 5 - 10 who have all come here recently and all of them love it and have made good friends. Encourage him to join a club (e.g. soccer) :-)

Where abouts in Perth were you thinking of moving to? Were you planning permanent, or just planning to see how it goes? Have you visited before? It sounds like you have strong links.
