CaptainC
The SOL 2015-2016 has been released and comes into force on 1st July 2015. Panelbeaters and cabinet makers will be added to the Skilled Occupation List for independent skilled migration applicants. Other key changes to the SOL include the removal of urban and regional planners, dentists and dental specialists. Additional occupations have been flagged for close review in next year’s process. RMT1980
Thanks for the link, that is an interesting read. I wonder why they don't keep all their systems in-sync? The new border.gov.au site includes the SOL Occupation Ceilings for the previous 2014/2015 Migration Programme.

Presumably when the site went live it was still before midnight so the info on it would not be valid until then. I'm sure it will be updated soon enough. PS. I'm sorry your post got flagged for moderation. New members can't @ another member until they have a certain number of posts under their belt (stops the spammers annoying our members!) The new border.gov.au site includes the SOL Occupation Ceilings for the previous 2014/2015 Migration Programme. The legislative instrument is the authoritative document, everything is subsequently updated from that.

PomCop
How does one see the ceilings for your group? Can you see how many visas are left for your occupation in a 189?
CaptainC
How does one see the ceilings for your group? Can you see how many visas are left for your occupation in a 189? They don't appear to have been published yet. I had a look a couple of hours ago and it still showed the 2014 ceilings. For reference, it's all contained in the skillselect section of http://www.border.gov.au website

Indianinoz
Its good that they haven't removed accountants. They have sensibly reduced the accountants quota to about half the previous year.
